Musik begleitete mich bis jetzt mein ganzes Leben, oder „Music was my first Love“

Es folgten einige kleinere lokale Veranstaltungen, wie:

„Kunst & Liebe“ im Räuber & Rebellen Recklinghausen, der „Moondance“ im ehem. „FRIDA“ in Essen-Rüttenscheid, „Tomorrow-Club“ in der Vest-Arena Recklinghausen, „Phil`s Licks“ im Hotel Shanghai Essen und zahlreiche Privatparties!

November 2015: Eine FB-Nachricht von Mara…. und die Reise begann!

Music has been with me all my life, or “Music was my first love.”

I started listening to music when I was four years old. At the time, the German music stations MTV or VIVA were constantly playing on my parents’ TV, I remember it very well. Eiffel65’s “I’m Blue” ran on a loop. I loved the tune.

I was just ten when my father, also a DJ, switched his equipment to CD players, so I found two turntables and my first mixer in my room! I took my first steps in the art of DJ-ing! But, I still had many other interests at this time in my life.

A few years later I got my first mobile, which was able to play music! From then on, music always accompanied me on my way to school, to friends’; no matter where I went, music was always with me!

At the age of 16, my Dad watched a movie called “Berlin Calling.” This movie also inspired me to produce electronic music. Thanks Paul Kalkbrenner!

Around two years ago, my parents took me to a club for electronic music for the first time – my now beloved “living room,” the Hotel Shanghai in Essen! There I met Phil Fuldner, a well-known DJ and producer. He showed me countless skills on CDJs and producing electronic music with Ableton Live, and in that year we also became close friends. Thank you, Bro.

In summer 2013, I visited the SMAG-Sundance, a festival for electronic music at the Baldeneysee in Essen. The DJs were absolutely great in knowing how to inspire the audience with their beats. I thought, the right time will come for me to be on the stage behind the decks!

In my spare time, I repeatedly visited the websites of known DJs. I studied their playlists, listened to them again and again, checked new releases on Beatport and iTunes, and began to make my own mixes with the hottest deep-, tech- and progressive-house tunes.

Early in 2015, I met the producer Michael “Jaxon” Bellina, a mutual friend of Phil Fuldner and my parents. I told him that I produce electronic music and he invited me to his studio, listened to my productions and gave me tons of helpful tips and hints. Thanks Jaxon!

In summer 2015, the Smag magazine organized a DJ contest!

Veni, Vidi, Vici:  “I came, I saw, I conquered.”

I won with my Mixtape and was allowed to play the opening-set for the SMAG-Sundance. It was an indescribable feeling on stage to bring the audience to a frenzy with my DJ-set!

I thought: Yes, this is what I want!

This amazing experience was followed by some smaller local events, such as:

“Kunst & Liebe” in the Räuber & Rebellen in Recklinghausen, the “Moondance” in the formerly known club “FRIDA” in Essen-Rüttenscheid, “Tomorrow Club” in the Vest Arena Recklinghausen, “Phil`s Licks” in the Hotel Shanghai and many private parties!

In November 2015, I received a Facebook message from Mara …. and the journey began!!
